According to the report, Apple seems to be launching a new product that is wireless charging for iPhone X & iPhone 8 in the upcoming update of iOS 11.2. By the way, it is confirmed that Charging with 7.5W is available in the new 11.2 Beta.

Right now the iPhone X & iPhone is carrying the slow Qi charging whose speed is 5W, but it will be faster to 7.5W as promised by Apple. There was some doubt that it would need to hold up to the point that Apple’s own particular AirPower mat came out at some point in 2018, yet it appears that is not the situation. More uplifting news: the 7.5W speed is accessible for any Qi charger that backings the higher output — not simply on Apple’s two affirmed pads from Belkin and Mophie.

It is not officially announced that when to publically release iOS 11.2, but probably its will be out in coming several weeks.
