Google launches Trusted Contacts iOS app with Find My Friends-like features

Recently, Google launched a free Trusted Contacts app for iPhone/iPad/iPod users. The app is equipped with multiple eye-catching features that quite abundantly resemble Find My Friends-like capabilities that allow you locate your friends and family on a map and let others know that you’re safe.

The app also integrates with Google Maps for location sharing, allowing you to share your location with selected contacts and find them directly and it can be added by phone number or email address. Anyone who accepts your request becomes a trusted contact, and you’ll see their name and profile picture in the app.

Similarly, Find My Friends app with features of both iOS and Android customers can be downloaded easily allowing you to share your location. This app is best suited for people who have remote traveling at large scale, and whenever an emergency struck, your friends can easily trace your location. What’s exciting here is that in-case your phone is offline or the battery just got died, there’s nothing to fret as your location will be shared automatically with your contacts.
