Facebook Testing Facial Recognition Technology To Confirm Your Account

Well, a facial recognition feature of Apple is getting more exciting and useful for the users. It’s a high-security technology feature for the users to secure their device as much as possible. First, Apple launched this new feature on their new iPhone and now the latest news from TechCrunch, Facebook is now testing for your account recovery process by using this new technology, A Facial Recognition System.

Bio-metric identification is a unique way to secure the devices. Facebook understands how your data is important and should be more protected.  After completing their research and process, your account might be more secure by any other security factor. And it could be easier and more beneficial for the users to log in their account, quickly.

Matt Navarra posted the tweet along with facial recognition check Facebook users for authentication.

Facebook told TechCrunch:

“We’re testing a new feature for people who want to quickly and easily access their account during the recovery process.

This feature is available only on devices who have already logged in. And the other step alongside with two-factor authentication via SMS that we’re talking to make sure account’s owner confirm their ID”.

Apple is using Face ID facial recognition to unlock the iPhone X, and every user wishes to use it. But Facebook is clearly limiting its use to the account recovery purpose and a very suitable for a user to look into a camera as a security check.
