Injustice 2 is the much awaited sequel to the blockbuster game, Injustice: Gods Amongst Us. Both of these titles were released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows. We here, at iOSAppers, were anxiously waiting to review this game and here’s what we think about the sequel.
The revamped gameplay is the main difference between the prequel and the sequel. It removes the boring and monotonous tapping and swiping mechanism and in its place introduced a new array of moves that are executed via specific directional inputs. This makes it easier and fun to form and execute combos. This also enables players to form specific strategies for each opponent.
The finishing moves and special moves have also been revamped. Gone are the unblockable moves and their animations. Now the special moves have been neatly integrated in the gameplay. You can use special moves in a combo with normal strikes and they are blockable. This makes the fights more realistic and enjoyable.
Injustice 2 is a solid gaming experience that builds on its prequels’ strong points but falls short of becoming a really memorable experience due to a lack of variety. It does perform its intended role well enough as a companion app to the main console edition of Injustice 2, and that is good enough in our books.
Injustice 2 is available for free with in App purchases from the iOS App store.
